Years have gone by since we caught our first large fish off Alaçatı shores on our small and then rudimentary skiffs. Those Alaçatı waters have now become the seas embracing the largest number of sportfishermen in Turkey. As for the “Alaçatı International Offshore Fishing Tournament”, which we started as a few friends’ get-together, it became since last year the largest offshore tournament in Europe and has as well earned itself a respectable place worldwide.

With its gradual yearly increasing participation, the tournament has deployed an incredible development, both as number of participants as well as the level of the boats and the teams. Last year we hosted a record 70 boats with over 300 contending sportfishermen. The most important factor consisted of professionally handling the event thanks to our team’s experience, although the mentality was still amateurish and free from any commercial concern. Thanks to the gathering, every October, of Turkey’s best fishermen, “Alaçatı International Offshore Fishing Tournament” has become the meeting platform of the top sportfishermen.

Additionally for our friends who do not have the patience to wait for a whole year to combine the pleasure and excitement of catching fish within the format of a competition, we prepared a second tournament, abroad this time. The “Cape Town Challenge” tournament has now become a traditional event taking place every year in April.

In addition to these tournaments, and in smaller groups, we also created tours to the best hot-spots in the world. Species variety and quantity of the catches, as well as different techniques of the different locations, created different pleasures. Far away destinations such as the “Andaman” Islands and the “Guatemala” Pacific shores, greeted us like paradises we would only dream of.

Rather than just catching fish, Sportfishing is especially, more about new friendships, and certainly a life style with newly acquired values in the sense of travel and adventures. Finally, our doors are open to any recreational angler who would like to join our tournament and travel ventures; you would just need to be a sea-lover and hooked to a line.
